About Endurance Squad
Endurance Squad is focused on building aerobic fitness and helping you feel comfortable swimming longer distances. Sessions include structured sets designed to improve pacing, endurance, and efficiency over distance.
You can expect to cover around 2.5 to 3.5km in a 75 minute session. It’s a steady, supportive squad environment where everyone is working towards their own goals.
This squad suits swimmers training for triathlon, Ironman events, or masters swimming, as well as those looking for a longer, low-impact fitness session
Booking
Endurance Squad runs across an 11-week term, followed by a 1-week break before the next term begins.
New swimmers can join partway through a term if places are available. Swimmers may also mix Endurance Squad sessions with SwimFit Squad.
What to Bring
You will need togs, cap and goggles. The Aquadome pool has changing rooms and shower facilities.
Term Pricing 11-week Term
Swimmers can attend one or more sessions per week.
1 lesson per week — $275 per term ($25/week)
2 lessons per week — $385 per term ($35/week)
3 lessons per week — $495 per term ($45/week)
Unlimited lessons — $605 per term ($55/week)
Pool Information
The Aquadome is located at Wellington East Girls College in Mount Victoria, Wellington.
Free parking is available on the netball courts next to the pool.
Pool User Fee
There are no pool entry fees for SwimFit classes. However, swimmers are required to pay an annual Aquadome pool user fee (approx. $90 per year).
This fee is set by the Wellington Swim Trust and contributes to pool heating and maintenance.
The fee is only charged if swimmers continue beyond their first term.

Flexibility
Swimmers may choose to join SwimFit Squad sessions to supplement their training. For example, swimmers might attend one Endurance Squad session each week and one SwimFit Squad session.
If you can’t attend your usual class, you can arrange to attend another session as a make-up lesson, provided there is space available.
